I'm Dr. Ashley Hocutt. My friend, you're not alone. I know those worries well.
It can feel really lonely dealing with private issues—especially the kind no one brings up at dinner parties. But with me, you’re in a space where talking about pelvic stuff isn’t TMI or taboo. Those rules don’t apply here.
I get what it’s like to live quietly with pelvic problems, carrying the stress and confusion alone.
I remember lying awake, wondering if I was the only one getting up to pee 4 or 5 times a night (and no, that’s not an exaggeration). I kept waiting for sex to feel like the magazine articles promised—G-spot? Hello? And I’ve spent more than a few frustrated minutes on the toilet, wondering why something “natural” could feel so complicated (bowel puns very much intended).
I didn’t talk about it—not even to my parents. I thought it was just me, and honestly, I was embarrassed.
